The Spanish past perfect continuous is used to express actions in the past, still occurring, but before another action in the past.

How is the past perfect in Spanish formed?

The following rule must be followed:

  • Personal pronoun + Auxiliary verb + Verb with the ending INDO, ANDO, ENDO in Spanish or ANDO, ENDO in Portuguese
